Sir. I thank you for being the reat American that you are. I am sorry for your bad luck and will pray for your speedy and full recovery. I personally hope you are able to make the elk hunt you have in mind. I am a elk hunter and know that you will enjoy it tremendously. Whether you kill one or not. Just being in Gods great and scenic outdoors is what it is all about. Thank you for your service to this great nation and to me…God bless.

  • Dev Warren

    Pat,
I got an email from the Elk Foundation today telling your story. Coming from a family who honors and appreciates the service of those who protect our freedoms, I was touched by your wish to go elk hunting. I know they are arranging a hunt for you, but I would be honored to take you hunting seperately also. I am currently in Montana, but my family ranches in Colorado. Every year I take my close friends hunting in one of the two spots. I would like to invite you to join us in either place whenever you wish. I have one hunting partner who lives in San Antonio and would be happy to fly you up when he comes. Just let us know. May god bless you with a speedy recovery and keep your spirits high. Give me your email and I will send you pics of the previous hunts so you know what to expect. I will also be in Austin over Christmas and would appreciate the opportunity to meet you.

My deepest thanks for your service and courage.

    Radar –

Hey man, I’m praying for you. Guess what, you wouldnt beleive it. I’m stuck here at FT. Knox. You were the man, and always will be the man. Me and Lingeberry and that other merchant Thornton keep having you in our thoughts and prayers. You need to contact me – the hospital won’t let me talk to you. I keep calling and bugging. Merry Christmas, friend.

Patrick, thank you, your family and all the other personnel for their sacrifice. My dad was career Army in Texas in the 50′s, so Ft. Hood holds special memories for me (it is where I saw Elvis, ha); I detest that it has become a nightmare for so many! As a member of the Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation I heard of your love for elk hunting. May God wrap you in His loving arms and give you a speedy recovery so you can chase elk, or get married, or whatever the Lord has in store for you.

Patrick, may you feel the loving arms of Jesus wrapped tight around you to carry you through this tough road. He will! I can only imagine what he has in store for you…you keep on fighting the fight and cannot wait to see posts of your Elk Hunting adventures you will be going on when you are ready!! I will end with this…Need not worry, God has a plan for you. Imagine the process that has brought you to where you are today-from a tiny creature inside your Mothers’ womb to the person you are now…and God is not through with you! There is so much more in store to make something bright and beautiful happen with you!! Matthew6:25-34

    Patrick,
You have been in my and LaVonne’s thoughts and prayers from the beginning. You are also on our church’s prayer list. As the father of a Green Beret, I know what it takes to excel above and beyond the norm. You have those qualities; body, mind, and spirt; to achieve your goals. Trust in The Lord, for He has a plan for you. Don’t let anybody deter you or tell you different. Also, when you feel up for a “laid-back” deer hunt, let me know and I can put you in my Hunt Co. woods. God Bless You, Bill and LaVonne McCaw

Patrick – While surfing through the many FSU sports websites, I came across your story and have since watched a recent video of your rehab. God works in mysterious ways, and although we may not know it, He has a reason for everything. Thank you for what you have done and continue to do for this country. You and your fellow soldiers ensure this country’s, and on the smaller scale, my family’s, safety and I am awed by your courage and committment. Thank you.

Keep up the great attitude and take one day at a time. I will keep you in my prayers.

Stay encourage SSG Patrick Zeigler… I was paralyzed for 4 years and Drs. told my mom I’d never walk again… but I did. In fact, I was suppose to be a vegetable… and would have someone taking care of me for the reast of my life. It took about 4 years but I was not only able to walk but run and I worked with the dance team at my church. Years later I was in an auto accident and had nerve damage and they say I have no nerve conduction on one side and little to none on the other. I can walk, I drive and live alone. The battle is in the mind. As a man thinketh… so is he. I just loved seeing your story Extreme Makeover Home edition on abc and your beautiful wedding. I praise God for you and your wife and know that I’ll pray for you both. Continue to be blessed.

Congratulations on your lovely wedding, may it be joyful and last forever.

What great and virtuous heroes I have in both of you, defending the concept of Liberty; a very precious tree.

Wishing you, Patrick, my great Texan and you, Jessica, a Soldiers’ Angel in the truest sense of the word, my very best wishes in all your goals and endeavours in your happy and joyful lives ahead.

    Thankyou
